Response to Bombing Incidents (RBI)
The RBI course provides first responders with the skills and tools they need to safely and effectively respond to terrorist incidents involving explosives and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

Prevention of Bombing Incidents (PBI)
The PBI course provides first responders with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, interdict, and/or respond to a suicide bombing incident.

Initial Law Enforcement Response to Suicide Bombing Attacks (ILERSBA)
The ILERSBA course provides law enforcement officers with training and guidance to safely and effectively interdict and respond to an active suicide bomber.

Homemade Explosives: Awareness, Recognition, and Response (HME)
The HME course is designed for all levels of first responders who may encounter or respond to a homemade explosives incident. This course presents information on the safe response to homemade explosive pre-detonation and post-detonation incidents.

Drone Assessment And Response Tactics (DART)
The goal of the DART course is to help front-line first responders and emergency management personnel to recognize and assess an unmanned aircraft event for a potential threat, and to give basic awareness of how to assess and mitigate that threat.

Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program Development (UASPD)
The goal of the USAPD course is to aid first responders and emergency agencies in the successful development, implementation, and sustainment of a department or agency’s small unmanned aircraft system (sUAS) program.

Understanding and Planning for School Bombing Incidents (UPSBI)
The UPSBI course provides first responders with response information on school bomb threats and school bombing incidents.

Medical Preparedness and Response to Bombing Incidents (MPRBI)
The MPRBI course prepares first responders involved in the medical response to bombing incidents with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively respond to the unique injuries of a bombing incident while considering existing hazards related to such an event.

State Point of Contact

Each State Point of Contact (SPOC) is responsible for coordinating Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) training. An applicant's SPOC must review and approve his/her application for the Operational Level course before being submitted to the New Mexico Tech Energetic Materials Research and Testing Center (NMT/EMRTC).

About our Instructors

Training instructors have experience working in agencies responsible for Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) response and serve as consultants to organizations such as the Office of Domestic Preparedness (ODP), The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
